Desk News: Former Justice A.H.M. Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik has been shown as arrested in reference to 6 individual murder situations in Dhaka. On Wednesday, September 18, following a Listening to, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Zaki Al Farabi accepted the petitions to show Manik arrested in these cases.
Manik was introduced prior to the court at all-around eight AM, in which the hearing befell in his presence. After the Listening to, the court authorised the petitions pertaining to his arrest in these situations.
The charges involve the murder of garment worker Rubel under Adabor Law enforcement Station, the killing of initial-calendar year Best School university student Khalid Hasan Saifullah beneath Lalbagh Law enforcement Station, and four other murder conditions beneath Badda Law enforcement Station.
Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik was detained through the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on August 23 from the border spot of Kanaighat Upazila in Sylhet. He was arrested under Part fifty four and made ahead of the court, wherever Senior Judicial Magistrate-1 of Sylhet, Decide Alomgir Hossain, purchased him for being despatched to jail.
Although Manik was granted bail yesterday (September 17) by Sylhet’s More Chief Judicial Magistrate Judge Anjan Kanti Das, he remains in custody as a consequence of several other scenarios pending against him.
